PRAYER: I pray for a safe delivery - with no complications for either you or I. I pray you come into this world whole and perfect and with ease. I pray for the doctors, nurses and residents that will come into contact with you - that they are rested and ready, that they don’t drop you or hurt you in any way. I pray for a speedy delivery and that I can get through it naturally.

SYMPTOMS: Swollen!!!!
MOVEMENT: All the time.
SLEEPING OR NO SLEEP: No sleep!
CRAVINGS: Not really, but I really enjoy watermelon right now.
ANYTHING MAKING YOU SICK OR QUEASY: No
FEELINGS: Big and uncomfortable!
PRAYER: I pray that you grow up to be tall and strong, handsome and confident, but never arrogant. That you have a drive in you so fierce that nothing stands in your way.. you are disciplined and determined and never rude, but will carry others when they fall short. I pray that no matter what career you decide to have in life, you do it to the best of your ability and with pride, respect for yourself and others. That you challenge YOURSELF to be great, never perfect, and never ever live by others expectations or opinions. I pray that with anything in life, you will always turn to God first and me and dad second. I pray for all these things for you my son and so so much more!

SYMPTOMS: Starting to get uncomfortable.. I can’t wear my wedding band.. I get out of breathe if I talk too fast.. haha!
MOVEMENT: Tons, especially when I am laying down.
SLEEPING OR NO SLEEP: No sleep! but I nap often.. haha!
CRAVINGS: Sweets
ANYTHING MAKING YOU SICK OR QUEASY: No
FEELINGS: Want to diet and I miss exercising.
PRAYER: That you would accomplish many great things. Always challenge yourself to be the best you. Have drive and be motivated to chase your dreams. Find (your own definition of) success and not be deterred by things of the world. Find comfort and satisfaction in what God has laid before you. To have a strong spirit, be a man of God and look to Him first before anything else.

25 WEEKS

Since the first day I found out I was pregnant with you, I seriously could not have waited to get a 3D ultrasound!! To make sure all your parts were perfect and to have peace of mind you were ok.

When we found out you were a boy, it was to see what and who you would look like. Basically, your father and I could not decide on a name.. haha! We have two equally great names in mind, one that has been near to me since I was 16.

Finally the time came, I was sure it would help me decide. it. didn’t. I’m more unsure than ever.. haha! Sorry son, this is the true Libra in me - when faced with two equally good decisions, I can’t choose. This is usually when your dad and me will play paper-rock-scissors or I’ll flip a coin. However, in this case, I can’t even commit to that!

On the one hand, if you look like your dad, then the one name is perfect.. but, on the other hand, if you look like me, then the other name will suite you better. Everyone tells me you will grow into your name but somehow that doesn’t seem to be a good enough.. I want you to be unique and who you are meant to be.. not boxed into a personality defined by a name.

The results…

I’m not sure why - secretly hoped I guess - but I would have bet my life that you would have looked like your dad, but your face is all me!! You have my nose, lips and chin and look just like my newborn picture.

We don’t know what your eyes will look like because they are still closed.. and everything else, from what we can see, is all your dad - chest, long limbs, long fingers, long, skinny feet. I’m still praying you come out with your dad’s dark Spanish complexion.

So, dad and I are waiting to finally meet you before we give you your name.

Either way, with whatever name we decide, you will be perfect and just who you were meant to be!

FRUIT SIZE: Papaya (Average size: 10.5-11.8 in, 12.7-20.8 oz)
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: 27.2 lbs (the doctor warned me I gained too much weight this visit. Must have been the gallon of Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream I ate in three days.. haha.. or all the Starbucks Frappuccino’s.. mmmm.. haha!)
BELLY MEASUREMENT: -
SYMPTOMS: Still have the burning legs (which we think is meralgia paresthetica)
MOVEMENT: Yes
SLEEPING OR NO SLEEP: Both
CRAVINGS: No real cravings.
ANYTHING MAKING YOU SICK OR QUEASY: Nope
FEELINGS: Anxious to see what you look like.
PRAYER: For you to become a true man of God. That you would be slow to anger, have empathy for others and a have kind spirit like your dad.
LOOKING FORWARD TOO: Our 3D Ultrasound next week and finally being able to decide on your name!
FAVORITE MOMENT SO FAR: Feeling you kick because then I know you are ok.
